Su Elsden BA. I started the business in 1982
and somehow, find myself still running it some 25 years later.
So how did we get here? The business has lived through major
technical changes from drawing boards to computer screen. I've
widened my interests through a long association with a national
organisation, talking to school pupils and prison inmates, about
how our industry fits into business life.
To put something back into our community, we carry out a considerable
amount of pro bono work for local organisations. It's great to
have a business that enables us to do this.
I really enjoy working with a strong team - a team that's naturally
younger than myself, but experience shouldn't count for nothing
either! We are an ideal size. Perhaps a very small business to
some but uniquely, we are all designers. No account handlers,
no managers, no secretaries. There's no lack of communication
and what's more, it enables us to be highly affordable.
And beyond work? Away from my desk, I am to be found 'playing'
with my new equine challenge - a young and extremely lively horse.
